Battlesnake Release New Single, Announce Australian TOur
‘The Key of Solomon’ is the first taste of the Aussie heavy metal cult’s forthcoming sophomore album.
Rising from the dark depths of the underworld, heavy metal collective Battlesnake has unleashed their latest creation on the world.
‘The Key of Solomon’ is the grinding first sermon from the Aussie act’s forthcoming sophomore album, The Rise and Demise of the Motorsteeple.
Continuing the ghoulish tale of a sorceress brewing potions and sprawling pentagrams in the ancient catacombs of the Motorsteeple, ‘The Key of Solomon’ embodies the firey guitar-friendly sound of the 80s, with blazing riffs, soaring harmonies and Sam Frank’s talk-sing vocals. Think Iron Maiden and Judas Priest with a sprinkling of Tenacious D.
A music video for the song is dropping this Thursday, May 9 at 5:30pm, and if it’s anything like Battlesnake’s previous clips, expect evil imagery, chaotic choreography and plenty of laughs.
To coincide with the release of ‘The Key of Solomon’, the powerful entity has announced an Australian tour, spreading their cataclysmic message across the country this June and July.
The tour descends upon Byron Bay at The Northern on Friday, June 21 before Battlesnake plays Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne and finally Adelaide’s Jive on Saturday, July 6.
Self-described “as the genetically engineered cyborg super child of Queen, King Gizzard and Judas Priest,” Battlesnake have fast become favourites of metal fans across the nation. The band’s sword and sorcery-inspired lyrics and crunching riffs have seen them support KISS on their ‘End of The Road World Tour’ as well as The Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's Addiction on their 'The World Is a Vampire Tour'.
Know for their energetic and anything goes live performances, this is your chance to see Battlesnake in the flesh before their apocalyptic prophecy comes true!
Tickets for Battlesnake’s Australian tour are on sale now via battlesnake.com. You can pre-order and pre-save The Rise and Demise of the Motorsteeple here.
