Billy Ocean Brings His ‘One World Tour’ Down Under

Expect a hit-filled set from the Trinidadian-born British singer-songwriter.

Two years on from his last jaunt Down Under, soulful crooner Billy Ocean returns as part of his massive One World Tour.

The Trinidadian-born British singer-songwriter has announced seven shows where he will perform all his hits, including ‘Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)’, ‘Loverboy’, ‘When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going’, ‘There’ll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)’, ‘Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car’ and many more.

“I love my Australian fans, I can’t wait to get you all on your feet,” Ocean said in a statement.

Billy Ocean’s One World Tour commences in Canberra at the Royal Theatre on Saturday, September 13. The Grammy award winner then performs at Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Monday, September 15, Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Wednesday, September 17 and Gold Coast’s Star Theatre on Saturday, September 20.

The final three dates take place at Brisbane’s Convention Centre on Sunday, September 21, Sydney’s Darling Harbor ICC Theatre on Tuesday, September 23 and Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Thursday, September 25.

Over a 50+ year career, Billy Ocean has released 11 studio albums, including the #2 UK Albums Chart hit Love Zone and most recent release, 2020’s One World. Ocean has also scored six top ten UK Singles Chart hits, including the #1 smash, ‘When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going’.

Ocean received a boost in popularity in the 21st after being awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the MOBOs, with his compilation album Here You Are and 11th studio album One World returning to the UK Albums Chart.

Currently gearing up for a run of shows across the UK, Ocean touches down in Australia in September for what promises to be a joyous musical experience.
