Budjerah Announces ‘Therapy Sessions’ National Tour, Shares New Single ‘Is It Ever Gonna Make Sense’
The Gold Coast singer is performing at Lion Arts Factory this September.
Rising Gold Coast singer Budjerah has just announced his biggest tour yet!
The ‘Therapy Sessions’ tour will see the two-time ARIA Award winner perform shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, and Brunswick Heads this September.
The tour announcement coincides with the release of Budjerah’s awesome new single, ‘Is It Ever Gonna Make Sense’, which premiered on triple j this afternoon. Co-written with Aussie powerhouse G-Flip and pop producer Aidan Hogg (Jaguar Jonze, Jeffe, G-Flip), the R&B-influenced tune is another winner from Budjerah.
Kicking things off in Brisbane at The Triffid on Friday, September 6, the ‘Therapy Sessions’ tour then hits Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Saturday, September 7, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday, September 13 and Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Saturday, September 14. Budjerah then makes the trek to Melbourne for the tour’s penultimate gig at 170 Russell on Friday, September 20 before wrapping things up with a bang at Brunswick Picture House in Brunswick Heads on Saturday, September, 28.

Budjerah is super excited about his upcoming shows, saying: “On stage, there’s a fire in me and I think that’s why I love performing so much. Because there’s a part of me inside that just wants to come out. And that’s when I feel like you get the full view of me as a whole person.”
After striking up a friendship with Matt Corby, who produced Budjerah’s 2021 self-titled debut EP, the proud Coodjinburra man from the Bundjalung nation became an ARIA Award winner, claiming the gong for Breakthrough Artist. He followed this with another ARIA Award in 2022 for his sophomore EP, Conversations, taking out the category for Best Soul/R&B Release.
The talented singer continues to kick career goals, winning Best New Artist at the 2023 Rolling Stone Australia Awards, earning over 15 million streams on Spotify with hit single ‘Therapy’, collaborating with the likes of Corby, Meg Mac and PNAU and supporting Ed Sheeran on his most recent Australian tour.

The album was recorded at Eventim Apollo in London earlier this year.
