In news that’s sure to excite the local heavy music community, American prog rock juggernauts Coheed & Cambria are heading our way this November.

The musical storytellers are heading Down Under as part of this year’s Monolith Festival, which takes place in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. While it looked like Adelaide fans would have to travel interstate to catch the quartet live, Coheed & Cambria are gifting music lovers an early Christmas present after announcing they will be performing at Hindley Street Music Hall on Thursday, November 7.

Just like their slot at Monolith Festival, Coheed & Cambria will take to the stage in Adelaide and perform their critically acclaimed album, Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, in its entirety.

Coheed & Cambria aren’t coming alone, bringing fellow Monolith Festival acts Periphery and Intervals along for what promises to be one hell of an incredible night of live music.

Early bird pre-sale kicks off Tuesday, August 20 at 8:30am local time. You can sign up here. General tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 21 at 8:30am local time via Destroy All Lines.

Widely regarded as a modern prog rock classic, Good Apollo, Volume One has sold over 1 million copies worldwide and was awarded Best Album at the 2006 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. Celebrating its 20th anniversary next year, the concept album peaked at #7 on the US Billboard 200 charts and was praised by critics.

Grammy-nominated Periphery, who last toured Australia in 2017, will be performing songs from their 2023 album Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre alongside favourites like ‘Marigold’, ‘Scarlet’ and ‘Blood Eagle’.

Also making the trip to Adelaide is the Canadian instrumental act Intervals. Created by guitarist Aaron Marshall after quitting his previous band, Speak of the Devil, Intervals has released five albums since 2011, including last year’s self-released Memory Places.

Catch Coheed & Cambrai at Hindley Street Music Hall on Thursday, November 7. For full ticketing details visit Destroy All Lines.
