Free Throw & Microwave Announce Co-Headline Australian Tour 2025
The emo rock acts have announced a joint nine-date tour.

Nashville emo rockers Free Throw and fellow alt-rock band Microwave have announced they’ll be touring Australia this July and August.
The co-headline tour takes in nine dates across the country, beginning in Brisbane at the Princess Theatre on Thursday, July 24. The tour continues with gigs at Newcastle Hotel in Newcastle on Friday, July 25, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Saturday, July 26, Penrith’s Tattersalls Hotel on Sunday, July 27, Hobart’s Altar Bar on Wednesday, July 30 and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Thursday, July 31.
The final three shows of the tour take place in Belgrave at Sooki Lounge on Friday, August 1, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Saturday, August 2 and Perth’s Lynotts Lounge on Sunday, August 3.

Free Throw returns to Australian shores for the second time as part of their co-headline tour with Microwave. The current lineup comprises of Cory Castro (vocals/guitar), Lawrence Warner (guitar), Jake Hughes (guitar/backing vocals), Justin Castro (bass) and Zach Hall (drums/backing vocals).
The band are this year celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album, Those Days Are Gone, having released a deluxe edition featuring live recordings, demo tracks and re-recorded songs with some of their mates, including Hot Mulligan and Pool Kids.
Atlanta quartet Microwave are also heading back to Australia for the second time in support of their most recent album, last year’s Let's Start Degeneracy. The album was well-received by critics, with Brooklyn Vegan calling it “Weezer meets Third Eye Blind meets Manchester Orchestra.”
