American punk veterans Hot Water Music are embarking on a huge Australian and New Zealand tour in 2025.
Touching down in the country next February for the first time since 2010, Hot Water Music are making the trip to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The five-piece will perform all the hits, fan favourites and rare cuts from across their incredible three decade career. They won’t be doing it alone, with Canadian punk rockers The Flatliners coming along for the ride.
“WE COULD NOT BE MORE STOKED to get back to Australia and New Zealand!” Hot Water Music bassist Jason Black said in a statement. “Sorry for the all caps, but it's been 14 years since we've done any proper club shows down there, so we're really excited. We promise it won't be so long between this run and the next one.”
Hot Water Music’s tour begins with two shows in New Zealand at Valhalla in Wellington on Tuesday, February 11 and Double Whammy! in Auckland on Wednesday, February 12. It’s then off to Australia for a gig at King St Bandroom in Newcastle on Friday, February 14 followed by two shows in Sydney at Crowbar on Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16.
The tour continues at The Baso in Canberra on Tuesday, February 18 and then hits The Triffid in Brisbane on Wednesday, February 19, The Gov in Adelaide on Thursday, February 20 and 170 Russell in Melbourne on Friday, February 21, before the final show at the Torquay Hotel in Torquay on Saturday, February 22.
Tickets for all shows go on sale this Thursday, August 1 at 9:30am local time via SBM Presents.

Hot Water Music has been out there getting it done for an astonishing 30 years. Forming in 1994, the original lineup of Chuck Ragan (vocals/guitar), Chris Wollard (vocals/guitars), Jason Black (bass) and Geroge Rebelo (drums) remains intact, with the 2017 addition of Chris Cresswell (guitars/vocals) giving their live sound a boisterous edge.
Having released ten albums in three decades, Hot Water Music has been the soundtrack to many 90s kids, with their latest album, this year’s VOWS, a dynamic burst of punk rock pop with anthemic choruses and gnarly chords.
Produced by Brian McTernan (Thrice, Sense Fail) and featuring the likes of Brendan Yates and Daniel Fang (Turnstile) Thrice and Dallas Green (City and Colour/Alexisonfire), VOWS has been well received by fans and critics, with Wall of Sound awarding the album a perfect 10/10.
Having last toured Australia 15 years ago, fans won’t want to miss Hot Water Music when they hit the country in February 2025.
Catch Hot Water Music at The Gov on Thursday, February 20. For full ticketing details visit SBM Presents.
