After it was revealed in September that Beer & BBQ Fest was returning to the Limestone Coast in 2025 after a hugely successful inaugural event in Mt. Gambier earlier this year, the full lineup of beer, BBQ and bands has finally dropped.
After 5,000 punters experienced everything Beer & BBQ Fest has to offer last year, organisers have gone above and beyond for the second iteration of the festival that runs from Saturday, March 8 to Sunday, March 9 2025 at Mt Gambier Railway Lands.
Over 20 breweries and distilleries have been announced, including South Aussie favourites Pirate Life Brewing, Shapeshifter, Big Shed Brewing, and Swell Brewery, along with the returning Alice Springs Brewing Co, which is based in the Northern Territory. More brewers will be announced in the coming months.
On the BBQ front, Mt. Gambier’s own Lumberjack’s BBQ, Victoria’s Smoke Pit American BBQ, Whyalla’s Smokey Uppercuts and Adelaide’s Sneaky Pickle will serve thick slabs of meat cooked to perfection.
When it comes to music, Beer & BBQ Fest again delivers an eclectic mix of local and national acts that will whip the crowd into a frenzy. Joining the already announced pop punkers Slowly Slowly, Brisbane indie rockers DZ Deathrays and alt-rockers The Butterfly Effect, who are celebrating the 21st anniversary of their debut album Begins Here, are Canberra rockers Hands Like Houses, Bob ‘Bongo’ Starkie’s Skyhooks and one man punk act Slim Krusty.
Other interstate highlights include thrash pop duo Mannequin Death Squad, folk-pop troubadour Flynn Gurry, theatrical rock act Destrends, and country duo The Smith & Western Jury.
There’s also a stack of local talent performing at the festival, with Molly Rocket, Prosper, Gernz, The Munch, Stokes, Esketamine, Greasy Rhysy and Brad Chicken & The Bootstraps all taking to the stage across the two days.
If that’s not enough action, Beer & BBQ Fest also features a wide range of fun activities, experiences and market stalls, including BMX action, axe throwing, a hot dog eating competition, the return of the Silent Disco, a temporary tattoo parlour, a beer bod wet t-shirt competition and more.
Single day and weekend tickets are on sale now via Moshtix.
A celebration of the three b’s – beer, BBQ and bands – Limestone Coast Beer & BBQ Fest has fast become one of the must-attend regional events on the festive calendar.
This year’s festival attracted over 5,000 punters who enjoyed local froths, tasty grub and awesome live music from the likes of The Smith Street Band, Bad//Dreems, The Pretty Littles and more across the weekend.
General admission tickets are on sale now, with single day tickets going for just $59.64 + booking fee. Those looking to make a weekend of it are urged to grab a Whole Hog Weekend Pass which will set you back $100.42 + booking fee. Not bad for two days of tunes, brews and BBQ.
