Little Dragon’s Yukimi Shares Debut Single ‘Break Me Down’
This is the first solo tune from the Little Dragon frontwoman.
Yukimi Nagano, the frontwoman of Swedish electro-indie act Little Dragon, has released her debut solo single, ‘Break Me Down’.
Produced by fellow Little Dragon member Erik Bodin (who also plays on the tune) and co-written with British singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas, ‘Break Me Down’ is very much in the Little Dragon mode, with Yukimi’s ethereal vocals at the centre of this blissful song.
The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Fredrik Egerstrand that serves as a homage to Ingmar Bergman’s 1958 film The Seventh Seal. According to The Needle Drop, the music video was shot at the same beach seen in the film, with several scenes replicated by Yukimi.
The release of ‘Break Me Down’ comes after a relatively quiet 2024 for Yukimi, with Little Dragon’s last major release being 2023’s studio album, Slugs of Love.
