Sneaky Sound System are back with their first solo tune in five years. ‘Shiver’ is an energetic serving of house euphoria from the duo of vocalist Connie Mitchell and producer Angus McDonald.

Produced by the two at their home studio in Bondi, ‘Shiver’ comes after Sneaky Sound System have spent the last few years collaborating with a range of big name talents, including Norman Doray, Tiesto and John Dahlback.

“We wrote this track a while ago, but it’s only now that it feels like the right time to release it,” McDonald says. “‘Shiver’ is about that electrifying feeling when love takes over,” adds Mitchell. “We wanted it to be euphoric and impossible to resist.”

Sneaky Sound System announced themselves in 2006 with their self-titled debut album. Peaking at #5 on the ARIA Album Chart, the record is chock-full of bangers and produced six singles – ‘Hip Hip Hooray’, ‘Tease Me’, ‘I Love It’, ‘Pictures’, ‘UFO’ and ‘Goodbye’.

The album achieved Platinum status and was followed two years later by their #1 charting record, 2, with their third and most recent long player, From Here to Anywhere, dropping in 2011.

One of the acts that led the mid-00s Aussie electro charge, Sneaky Sound System have spent much of the past decade and a bit releasing one-off singles, collaborating with famous artists and performing the odd show here and there.

The release of ‘Shiver’ marks a new chapter in the group’s evolution that includes several live dates, with Sneaky Sound System performing this Saturday in Essendon as part of the Lincoln Park Twilight Concert.

They then head to Adelaide as part of the AFL Gather Round festivities, performing on Sunday, April 13. The duo are also performing at Ministry Of Sound Classical in the Gold Coast on Saturday, May 3.
