The ‘Freedom Sessions Australia Tour’ includes a stop off in Adelaide this November.
Roots and blues artist Xavier Rudd has announced a national tour taking place this October and November.
The eight-date visit includes a headline spot as part of Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens Live at the Gardens concert series and an appearance at Queenscliff Music Festival.
“I’m super excited to bring this show to Australia after all this international touring,” Rudd said in a statement. “It’s my first chance to share this show on home soil after buzzing around America and Europe so it should be pretty slick by then. Let’s do this!”
Rudd’s tour begins in Newcastle at Bar on the Hill on Friday, October 4. He follows this with shows at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul on Saturday, October 5 and Night at the Barracks in Sydney on Sunday, October 6.
The ‘Follow the Sun’ and ‘We Deserve To Dream’ crooner then plays Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Friday, November 15, HOTA Outdoor Stage on the Gold Coast on Saturday, November 16 and Hindley St Music Hall in Adelaide on Friday, November 22.
The final two dates of the tour are Rudd’s headline performance at Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne on Saturday, November 23 as part of the Live in the Gardens concert series, and at Queenscliff Festival in Queenscliff on Sunday, November 24.
Support for the tour comes from indie-pop quartet Calypso Cora, while singer-songwriter Emily Wurramara will also perform at Live in the Garden.

These begin on Thursday, June 13 at 9:30am local time via Live at the Garden and Roundhouse. General sale tickets for this gig and the other tour dates commence Friday, June 14 at 10:30am local time via xavierrudd.com.
