Sons of Zöku – ‘Lonesome Tale’

Sons of Zöku have been on an upward trajectory that’s so enjoyable to witness from the sidelines. Since the world-influenced experimental psych outfit released their sophomore album ËNDLËSS in February, the record’s penultimate track ‘Lonesome Tale’ has become a firm favourite in The Note office. Nature feels so present in this song: the folk-like instrumentation, layered harmonies and silvery flute melodies all dance around each other, interweaving to create a dreamy, ethereal sound. It makes us want to lounge in the sun, preferably in a field of long grass or by a babbling brook. What a treat.
