Grinspoon Release New Single ‘Never Say Never’
This is the second taste of the Grinners’ forthcoming eighth album, Whatever, Whatever.
As the countdown continues towards the release of Grinspoon’s hotly anticipated eighth LP, Whatever, Whatever, the band has shared the album’s second single, ‘Never Say Never’.
A driving alt-rocker featuring frontman Phil Jamison’s familiar twang, ‘Never Say Never’ follows on from first single ‘Unknown Pretenders’ and is another solid guitar tune sure to please fans of the band.
Taking to social media to reveal the song, Grinspoon said ‘Never Say Never’ is “a little bit surf / a little bit James Bond & a little bit magic mushrooms... turn it up loud.”

Whatever, Whatever is the Grinners' first album in 12 years. The 15-track record is produced by Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers), someone the band was really stoked to work with.
“Oscar is an incredibly talented creative, engineer, and producer,” Jamieson said in a statement about the album. “We hadn’t worked with an Australian producer for a very long time, and it was a refreshing change. Recording with Oscar became very collaborative, he’s humble and understands the different dynamics within the band.”
Along with a new album, Grinspoon is hitting the road on a massive 45-date tour, playing major cities and regional areas.
