Hard-Ons Announce 40th Anniversary Australian Tour
The Aussie icons will perform at Froth & Fury Fest this November.
It’s hard to believe but Hard-Ons are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and in true Hard-Ons style, the band are embarking on a monster 13-date party across the nation.
Not only are the quartet heading back on the road, but they’ve also dropped surprise new single, ‘Buzz Buzz Buzz’ (listen below), and announced the release of their documentary, The Most Australian Band Ever, which will premiere at SXSW Sydney later this year.
Hard-Ons’ extensive tour begins in Brisbane at Soapbox on Friday, October 18. This is followed by shows at Sussex Inlet Tavern in Sussex Inlet on Thursday, October 24, La La La’s in Wollongong on Friday, October 25, Paddo RSL in Sydney on Saturday, October 26 and Hamilton Station Hotel in Newcastle on Sunday, October 27.
The band then make the trip down to Tassie for a gig at the Altar in Hobart on Thursday, October 31. Then it’s on to The Tote in Melbourne on Friday, November 1, Singing Bird Studios in Frankston on Saturday, November 2, Red Hill Hotel in Castlemaine on Sunday, November 3 and Barwon Club in Geelong on Monday, November 4.
The final dates of the tour take place at Amplifier in Perth on Thursday, November 7 and at the Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough on Friday, November 8, before a final blowout at Froth & Fury Fest in Adelaide on Saturday, November 9.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via Hard-Ons’ website.

Hard-Ons established themselves as one of the country’s great punk acts throughout the 80s and early 90s, releasing five studio albums before calling it a day in 1994.
Reforming in 1997, there has been a revolving door of musicians involved with the band since, with the current lineup featuring original members Peter “Blackie” Black (guitar) and Ray Ahn (bass/backing vocals), alongside drummer Murray Ruse, who joined in 2011, and vocalist Tim Rogers, who took on frontman duties in 2021.
The tour comes during what has been a busy year for Hard-Ons, having supported Radio Birdman on their recent tour while also being announced as support for several upcoming Hoodoo Gurus shows.
Hopefully the release of ‘Buzz Buzz Buzz’ means a new Hard-Ons album is on the cards.
