The keynote speakers taking part in One Of One’s tenth-anniversary national breakfast and networking tour have been revealed.

After the not-for-profit charity announced it would be going on tour earlier this month, locking in dates and venues for gatherings in Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, One Of One have today released the list of keynote speakers participating in each city, including the previously announced Tina Arena, who will be talking at the Melbourne One Of One breakfast.

“Looking forward to being in a room full of like minded people at the One Of One 10th anniversary celebration,” Arena said in a statement. “Time to question everything and make the changes to suit us.”

Artist manager and promoter Kelsie Miller will kick things off when she takes to the stage at Perth’s The Rechabite on Friday, March 7, followed by Ali Tomoana, the head honcho of label, artist management and booking agency Soul Has No Tempo, who has been tapped to speak at Brizzy’s The Triffid on Wednesday, March 12.

Dr. Shellie Morris AO has been selected to speak with guests at Darwin’s Botanic Garden Centre on Tuesday, March 20, legendary music figure Fifa Riccobono has been secured as the keynote speaker at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Thursday, March 20, with the aforementioned singer-songwriter Tina Arena excited to entertain and educate Melbourne attendees at the Corner Hotel on Tuesday, March 25.

The final event in Adelaide takes place at The Gov on Friday, March 28 and features The Annex founder and all-round Aussie music legend Mardi Caught, who was keen to stress the critical need for these types of gatherings: “These events are so important to Women and the GNC community in Australia as it allows us not only a space to gather and connect, but to be continually motivated by not only the talent onstage, but also in the room”

She added: “One of One have spent so much time considering the needs of the entire community and always deliver their national programme to be both joyous and inspirational to all who attend.”

Tickets for all six One of One events are on sale now via Moshtix.

One of One’s national breakfast tour runs throughout May, with each event kicking off with a fully catered breakfast followed by speeches and performances from special guests. Those in attendance also have the opportunity to mingle and network with other guests.

Along with Arena and Caught, the other women speaking at each event also released short statements addressing their appearance as a keynote speaker and the importance of the work One Of One are doing to help empower and celebrate female and gender non-conforming members of the Aussie music sector.

Commenting on being chosen to speak at the very first Perth event, Kelsie Miller said: “I am absolutely honoured to be invited to speak at Perth's first ONE OF ONE Breakfast. ONE OF ONE is such a special organisation doing great work for women & GNC people in music, and I am thrilled that our incredible West Coast crew get to experience these beautiful annual gatherings for the first time this year.”

Fellow speaker Fifa Riccobono added: “When One of One asked me to be their keynote speaker in Sydney, 10 years after my original One of One interview, I thought it would be a good time to share my story and reflect on the many experiences and opportunities the music industry has afforded me over the past 5 decades!”

Ali Tomoana said: “I'm honoured to be invited to speak at such a special milestone event for our music community. Whilst marginalised women and gender non-conforming folk endure constant change, violence and uncertainty, it is vital these communities continue to be supported, protected and celebrated. The One of One team have worked tirelessly over 10 years to ensure this exists. I look forward to sharing my own experience as an Indigenous woman and mother in music and will be drawing from the stories of our Matriarchs; how we can look back in order to move forward.”

Last but not least, the revered Dr. Shellie Morris said: “Every woman’s voice holds power, wisdom, and resilience. By elevating the voices that have long been unheard, we honour the strength of our past, empower the present, and inspire the future. Together, we create a world where every woman’s story is sung, shared, and celebrated.”

One of One takes place in Adelaide at The Gov on Friday, March 28. Tickets are on sale now via Moshtix.
