The Wombats Share New Single ‘Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want To Come’
The track is the band’s first release since 2022’s, Is This What It Feels Like to Feel Like This?.
Aussie favourites The Wombats have today shared their boppy new single, ‘Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want To Come’.
The release of the tune comes ahead of The Wombats’ headline performance at this year’s Rolling Sets, the band’s only Australian show for 2024.
Speaking on the tune, frontman Matthew Murphy says, “[It] is about constantly defaulting to a 'Lone Wolf' mindset, and what the real life consequences of that may be.”
With lyrics like “Sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come, It's not that I hate you, I just hate everyone,” Murphy captures the feelings of many young people in the modern world. You can watch the music video for ‘Sorry I’m Late, I Dind’t Want To Come’ below.
