Freedman’s solo tour comes after The Whitlams just completed a tour of the country celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album, Love This City. The band performed the album in full alongside a set of greatest hits songs.
Along with touring, 2024 saw The Whitlams release the album Kookaburra under the alias The Whitlams Black Stump. The project is a country iteration of The Whitlams, with the album featuring country variations of the group’s biggest hits along with new compositions.
