Former triple j Breakfast Show Hosts Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer Announce Reunion Tour
The duo will share stories from their days hosting triple j’s Breakfast Show.
20 years on since they signed off on triple j’s Breakfast Show, former presenters Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer are reuniting for an Australian tour to share their experiences working on the show.
The First Time (In A Long Time) tour will hit six cities between October and December, with the duo recounting tales about their time hosting breakfast radio on triple j from 1999 to 2004.
Hear about all the off-air goss while learning more about the origins of the random assortment of characters that appeared on their show, including Tripod, Shannon from Cockatoo, Mary from Junee and Dave from Dulwich Hill. The two will also discuss the wild story of Salmon Hater and the ‘Sorry Matt Hayden’ song, released as an apology for trash-talking the Aussie cricket legend.
The tour commences in Melbourne on Saturday, October 26 at the Comedy Theatre before continuing in Sydney at the Factory Theatre on Saturday, November 9, Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide on Friday, November 15 and the Brisbane Powerhouse in Brisbane on Friday, December 6. The final two shows take place in Wollongong at the Wollongong Town Hall on Friday, December 13 and in Newcastle at the Newcastle Civic Theatre on Saturday, December 14.
Tickets for all shows go on sale this Thursday, August 29 via comedy.com.au.

Discussing the tour, Anderson said: “Working with Adam on triple j in the early 2000s are some of my fondest memories and that is just the stuff I can remember. I can’t wait to be back onstage with Adam talking about the old days, and hopefully he can fill in some gaps for me.”
Adam added: “Join us as we relive the memories. In fact, feel free to prompt our memories and we will take it from there.”
The First Time (In A Long Time) tour is sure to be a laughter-filled evening of anecdotes from two of Australia’s funniest men.
