Emerging Punjabi-Australian artist Parvyn is launching her new album, Maujuda, at Nexus Arts this Friday as part of OzAsia Festival.
Released last Friday (November 1), Maujuda was recorded in Vancouver at Afterlife Studios and Capsule Studios. Produced by Jane Aurora and Mary Ancheta (Mary Jane HIFI), mastered by Elisa Pasaeng and engineered by Erik P.H. Nielsen (City and Colour), the album contains seven tracks exploring Parvyn’s journey migrating from India to Australia via Malaysia and the UK, and also addresses themes of love, community and new beginnings.
“As an artist, I want to do whatever I can to make this world a better place and contribute positively to humanity,” Parvyn said in a statement about her new album. “I hope this record brings solace and connection to as many people as possible.”
