The band then heads to Brisbane/Meanjin’s The Brightside on Friday, January 24, Adelaide/Tarntanya’s Jive on Saturday, January 25 and Melbourne/Naarm’s The Night Cat on Saturday, February 1, before the tour wraps with two shows at Sydney/Eora’s The Lansdowne on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8.

Formed in 2014 in the basement of Frankie’s Pizza in Sydney after Jacklin’s birthday, Phantastic Ferniture was an outlet for Jacklin and her pal’s garage rock endeavours.

Releasing their self-titled debut album four years later in 2018, Phantastic Ferniture embarked on a tour of Australia, selling out shows across the country. Their album was critically acclaimed, spawning the singles ‘Fuckin 'n' Rollin’, ‘Gap Year’, ‘Bad Timing’ and ‘Dark Corner Dance Floor’, with The Line of Best Fit calling it a “sunny garage pop delight.”

Sadly no sophomore album followed, with Jacklin concentrating on her solo work, releasing 2019s Crushing and 2022s PRE PLEASURE. The rest of the band also pursued their own projects, but now a decade after they first came together, Phantastic Ferniture are hitting the road again for what promises to be an awesome live experience.

Catch Phantastic Ferniture at Jive on Saturday, January 25. Tickets on sale now via Moshtix.
