The second edition of SXSW just got even bigger, with over 60 new artists added to the already impressive bill.

Having first announced the initial lineup of artists and speakers attending in May, this updated lineup includes a plethora of talent hailing from ten different countries.

Those joining headliners Ayesha Madon, star of Heartbreak High, Bogota-based psychedelic funk trio BALTHVS and Sydney’s own rising pop artist Nick Ward include Indonesia’s history-making Voice of Baceport, Tāmaki Makaurau all-stars Phoebe Rings, Taiwan's experimental pop wizards I’mdifficult, East London rapper JESHI, Bangkok's post-rock outfit Death of Heather and more.

When it comes to the local contingent, NSW indie darlings The Buoys, Victorian shoegaze act RINSE, NT rockers Mulga Bore Hard Rock and Adelaide favourite Coldwave will all be performing at this year’s event.

Held in venues around Sydney between Monday, October 14 and Sunday, October 20, the week-long event features conferences, panels, musical performances, gaming demonstrations, short films and more.

“After the success of the inaugural SXSW Sydney in 2023,  we are once again inspired by the overwhelming response from the creator communities to participate in the 2024 program,” said SXSW Sydney Chair and TEG Group CEO, Geoff Jones.

“This is the first of many announcements as we roll out the extensive and diverse range of visionaries & creative thinkers from around the Globe that make up the SXSW Sydney 2024 conference lineup.”

The full program for this year’s event is available online and you can get in the mood with the official SXSW Sydney curated Spotify playlist.

SXSW Sydney 2024 will run from Monday, October 14 to Sunday, October 20. Tickets are on sale now via sxswsydney.com.
