Cat Power Sings Dylan Australian Tour 2025
The American singer-songwriter is performing a replica setlist of Bob Dylan’s iconic 1966 Royal Albert Hall concert.
Celebrated singer-songwriter Cat Power is heading our way in 2025, recreating Bob Dylan’s iconic 1966 Manchester Free Trade Hall performance. Mistakenly labelled as having taken place at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the gig is remembered for Dylan switching from acoustic to electric instruments halfway through, nearly causing a riot amongst the punters in attendance.
Having paid tribute to the event in 2023 with the album Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert, featuring Cat Power recreating Bob Dylan’s set from the concert, the American artist is performing the setlist for Australian audiences in March next year.
Originally announcing a sole Melbourne show alongside Big Thief member Buck Meek and his band, Cat Power has added five more dates, including a performance at the final Byron Bay Bluesfest.
Beginning her tour with a concert at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Monday, March 3, Cat Power continues with shows at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday, March 6, Port Fairy Folk Festival on Sunday, March 9, Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre on Monday, March 10 and Brisbane’s QPAC on Wednesday, March 12, finishing things up at Byron Bay Bluesfest on Thursday, March 13.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via the Love Police website.
