The new artist additions include DEM MOB, Bean Magazine and TOWNS.
BIGSOUND just got a hell of a lot bigger! The 2024 edition has announced over 50 new artists have been added to the awesome lineup, along with the addition of 27 new speakers.
Of the new artists announced, some of the standouts include rapper Jamaica Moana, country rocker Adam Newling, R&B act Miiesha and Adelaide’s own DEM MOB and TOWNS.
They join an already stacked program that includes singer-songwriter Alex The Astronaut, WA trio Fool Nelson, multi-talented creative MUDRAT, DJ and producer Cooper Smith and indie outfit The Velvet Club.
“It has been such a privilege getting the opportunity to program the BIGSOUND 2024 lineup,” share BIGSOUND Music Programmers Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne.
“We are blown away by the calibre of artists that applied this year, and we’ve discovered so many amazing new artists in the process. While it was challenging to whittle it down to the final showcasing artists, we are so grateful to the First Nations Advisory Group and the extended Program Advisory Group that we worked with to help us create this year’s final lineup.”
Along with revealing a host of new artists taking the stage at night, BIGSOUND has also announced a slew of speakers who will be appearing at the conference alongside the likes of Amyl & The Sniffers’ frontwoman Amy Taylor, Korda Marshall from Mushroom Group and Ben Buchanan from Creative Artists Agency (Beck, Florence and the Machine, Solange).
The expanded conference lineup includes Jack Saunders of TRIBE and TRIPEL, Kamran Haq of Download Festival Europe and Live Nation and Adam Lewis of Planetary alongside Aussie champions Amy McNickle of APRA AMCOS and High Score, Josh Simmons of Vinyl Group and Vampr and many more.
BIGSOUND is held at Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley precinct and runs from Tuesday, September 3 to Friday, September 6. For the full lineup and ticket details visit bigsound.org.au.
