WINE CITY

You’ll find more than 100 wines from 25 of the state’s best producers at Harvest Rock’s pop-up cellar door, curated by Nick Stock. Here are four local producers you need to know...

ALPHA BOX & DICS

Alpha Box & Dice do it all. The McLaren Vale favourite make wine for every type of drinker, including hefty pours of big, bold reds and a zippy Pét Nat that tastes like strawberries and cream. Yum. They’re also creating a wine for each letter of the alphabet, and you best believe we’re totally onboard with this quirky journey. The end goal? To have a 26 bottle range of wines that best capture the diversity of South Australia’s world-renowned wine region. @alphaboxdice

DELINQUENTE WINE CO

The Riverland’s underdog wine prowess is on display with Delinquente Wine Co. The region’s red dirt soil and sunny weather has made Delinquente’s Southern Italian Grape variety blends extra tasty. Don’t believe us? Grab yourself a glass and savour the robust flavours of the organically grown, handmade and honest wines. The perfect choice for Harvest Rock’s natty lovers. More of a spirit person? Delinquente also pour their own organic aperitivo, Bizzarro, into pretty pint-sized cans that make great party favours. @delinquentewineco

MOORAK WINE

Lo-fi lovers will already know why Moorak Wines is one of the best. But in case you’re not in the loop, the award-winning winery has a portfolio of left- of-field wines derived from producer Jordan Hein’s endless experimentation, love for the land and commitment to sustainability. Moorak Wines is an ode to Hein’s birthplace – the Limestone Coast – but the wines are not bound to that region. Instead, they borrow the best bits from South Australia’s wine scene. So whether you’re after a smoky, sombre Pinot Noir or an Adelaide Hills blend that tastes like sour cherry sherbet, Moorak Wines has you covered. @moorak_

FORAGE SUPPLY CO

Forage Supply Co claim they’re a ‘wine label for the people’, bottling minimal intervention Barossa Valley blends that are also sustainable. What can’t these guys do? If you’re like us and choose your wine based on the label, you’ll love ‘em. With funky names like Spliced Riesling, Chardy Party Chardonnay and Baby Face Field Blend and kitsch stickers to match, there’s no shortage of fun from the outset. What’s even better is that each wine is bloody delicious and easy to drink. A go-to favourite in The Note office. @foragesupplyco
